Merentas Desa
My school held the cross country event yesterday at stadium Kluang. It was my first time to be a PBSM helper. It was really interesting and “enjoyable”. I totally agree to Mdm Presanna that they drop like flies. It seemed that I really look reliable that there was one girl actually fainted when we made eye contact. I rushed to her side to prevent her from falling, and helping her to the PBSM tent. The other one looked at me (giving me a signal) before she threw up. Yeah, very nice. I remember one particular Malay girl who couldn’t breathe properly and kept asking me did she make it. Sze Hua and I helped her to the side and Sze Hua kept fanning her. The point was she still faced breathing difficulty after a few minutes. Then I did something stupid. I hold her left hand and I told her to listen to me, “Breathe slowly, in and out,”, while exhale and inhale slowly myself (loud and deliberately slow). In the end she managed to calm down but she still kept on budging me whether did she make it (ai…). I really enjoy being a PBSM member and I really hope that there will be another opportunity like this in the future.
