Yesterday, the sun finally showed her face. It was a great day for work, especially for bees. At 4 in the afternoon, many bees were seen in Bala’s garden. Kim Wei straight away noticed two big, fat blue coloured bees swarming around the long bean plants when we passed the garden. The sound they made was so loud “zzzZZZZZzzzzZZZZ” that really scared me out of my wit (I took refuge in Bala’s house.). They are really dangerous looking. Then, Chen Yeh, Kim Wei and Bala approached them slowly with nets. They wanted the one near the edge. Finally, came the breathtaking moment when Chen made a swift and daring swipe. The bee was trapped but it was still making a lot of noise. Bala poked it hard with my syringe which filled with formalin. In the end, it was dead but the syringe was broken too. (Imagine how hard the exoskeleton was!) I practically admired all the boys for risking their life for our bio project. (Pai Sei, I was standing outside the battle field all the time….) Ahem, thanks to them anyway. Good job man! (And women…)
